Twirly Girl

I've been wanting to make the Pink Fig Girly Skirt pattern forever and a day and was able to squeeze in some sewing time this week (yay)!

I was worried the fabric combination was going to be too busy but I am so in love with this skirt!

M is a very girly girl and loves pink which left me wondering if she would even like this navy and light blue fabric combination.  Turns out she loves it just as much, if not more, than I do.

I finished it on Friday night and she has worn it for the whole weekend.

First she tried it on.....

and then she twirled.....

and danced.......

and twirled some more!

Don't you love the wall of fabric behind her :)

With at least 2 birthday parties coming up, I plan to make a couple more of these skirts for presents.

  1. I love this skirt Vik! You co-ordinated fabrics so well. I can see why M loves it. I think I'll have to grab a copy of this pattern and make one for my M.

  2. Super cute, I forget how sweet blue is. This is darling.

  3. Thanks so much girls for the lovely comments, M and I both still love this skirt :)

  4. Hi Vik! Thank you for dropping by my blog. That is one pretty skirt I love your combo, a girl needs some blue once in a while and this one is just perfect! :)

  5. Hi Vik, thanks so much for your Cosmo vote!
What a super cute twirly skirt.

  6. This is SUCH a cute skirt! I love it!
